Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Grab a large skillet or pot and put it over medium-high heat, then add the ground beef and stir it until it’s fully browned. Use a wooden spoon to break the meat into small pieces while cooking – If there’s a lot of fat, drain some of it, but leave a little in the pan to add flavor.

Step 2: Add the garlic, ginger, and the lower white parts of the green onions, then stir them with the meat for about a minute. You will smell the garlic as soon as it touches the heat, just be careful not to burn it.

Step 3: Put the bags of coleslaw mix right on top. It might look like a lot of cabbage at first, but it will shrink quickly, so don’t worry. Stir it in the pan for about 5 minutes until the cabbage softens but still has a nice crunch.

Step 4: Pour in the soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, and sriracha. Stir everything well so all the pieces of meat and vegetables are evenly coated with the sauce.

Step 5: Take the pan off the stove, then sprinkle the green onion tips and sesame seeds on the dish however you like. Serve it hot.

It’s great on its own, but sometimes serving it over rice is a good idea to make it more filling when you’re really hungry. It really hits the spot when you want something savory and comforting with a cold iced tea.
