The Ultimate Air Fryer Peaches Recipe

It’s July in Casablanca, and turning on my big oven is completely out of the question. It’s just too hot. But the peaches from the market right now… they’re unbelievable. So, what do you do? You use the air fryer. This whole Air Fryer Peaches thing started as a desperate experiment one night, and now I think I’ve made them four times this week.

The way the heat blasts them, the sugar turns into this almost-burnt caramel shield on top while the peach itself just slumps into a soft, warm fruit pulp. You just have to use peaches that are still pretty firm. If they’re too ripe, you’ll just get hot mush.

What You Need for Air Fryer Peaches

You don’t need much, and you can find it all easily. This is for two peaches, so just double it if you have more people over.

  • 2 good peaches
  • A knob of unsalted butter, melted
  • A couple spoonfuls of brown sugar
  • A whisper of ground cinnamon (don’t overdo it)
  • A tiny splash of vanilla
  • One pinch of salt
  • Ice cream for serving, obviously.

How I Do It

This is barely a recipe. It’s more of a method. It’s so fast.

Step 1: Get the Peaches Ready

Wash the peaches. Cut them around the middle, twist, and pop them open. The pit should come out with a spoon. No big deal if you make a mess of it.

Step 2: Make the Topping

Melt your butter in a cup and stir in the sugar and spices. It’ll look kind of like wet sand. That’s what you want.

Step 3: Put the Stuff on the Peaches

Just spoon the sugary stuff onto the peach halves. Plop it right in the hole where the pit was. I don’t really measure, I just cover the tops so they get crusty.

Step 4: Air Fry Them

Stick ’em in the air fryer. If you think of it, put a little piece of parchment paper under them. It means you can just throw the paper away instead of scrubbing burnt sugar later. Set it to 180∘C. For me, it takes about 8 minutes, give or take. You just have to look. When they’re sizzling and the kitchen starts to smell like a fancy bakery, they’re done.

Step 5: Eat Them. Immediately.

You have to eat these hot. Don’t let them cool down, all that good syrup will get hard. A blob of vanilla ice cream on top is, in my opinion, the only way to do it. It gets soupy and messy and it’s perfect.

So, Yeah. That’s It.

That’s the whole “recipe.” It’s really just an idea. It’s my fix for wanting a real dessert when it’s a million degrees outside. It takes no time, it uses up the peaches that are everywhere this time of year, and it feels way more special than it has any right to. I figured someone else might need this trick, too. Hope you like these air fryer peaches.

If you make them, cool. Let me know if you figure out a better way to do it.

  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt
  • Ice cream for serving

Instructions

Step 1

Okay first just wash the peaches. slice them around the middle and twist them open. use a spoon to scoop the pit out. it usually pops right out.

Step 2

Now for the topping. just melt some butter in a cup and stir in the brown sugar and spices. thats it. you want a thick sugary paste.

Step 3

Just plop a spoonful of that mixture onto each peach half. get it down in the little hole where the pit was. no need to be neat about it.

Step 4

Alright stick them in the air fryer at 180 C. timing isnt exact maybe 8 to 10 minutes. just peek in when your kitchen starts to smell really good. theyre done when the top is dark and bubbly.

Step 5

The most important part. get them out and serve them immediately. they have to be hot when the cold ice cream hits them. trust me on this.

Notes

Use firm peaches not mushy ones or they fall apart.
A little piece of parchment paper in the basket means no cleanup.
Every air fryer is different so your timing might change a little. just look at them.
Don't skip the salt it makes the sugar taste better.
